We have been learning about the rock cycle. On Friday, the students participated in an experiment about the various stages of the rock cycle. First, we shaved bits of crayon to represent the sedimentary rock stage.



Then we applied heat to the crayon shavings with an iron to represent the igneous stage.

For the final stage, Mrs. Moehlmann took the smaller "rocks" and used the stove to make one big metamorphic rock.
